Helen Middleton
Helen is an experienced practitioner who has generalist experience across a wide range of sectors. She worked for 16 years as a secondary school Guidance Officer in Qld. She has written two books for teens: ‘Teen Time’ for young people entering high school and ‘Finding Your Way in Early Adulthood’ for school leavers. In Tas she worked in employee assistance programs (crisis management, manager assist, trauma, and personal counselling) then worked for 9 years in private practice, specialising in couples counselling.
As a psychologist, Helen also has strong training in family therapy and Gestalt Therapy. She understands the value of a positive first experience of counselling for young people and enjoys the challenge of moving clients to happier and more functional perspectives of their situation.
