Mel Keen
In the hustle of daily life, through illness or life circumstances, we can become disconnected in different ways – from our self, others, our body and nature.
Our mind and body get caught in the stress and adrenaline of a situation. When we learn to notice this and pause, we can do something different in that moment instead of reacting out of habit.
Even small changes in our awareness and a little self-compassion can support us to make different choices each day, especially when we are tired and managing constant demands on our time and energy. Most of us can relate to ‘it’s all too much’ and ‘I’ll look after myself soon, I just need to do this first…’
I have trained in equine therapy and ecotherapy. My connection with nature and animals helps me practice mindfulness on a daily basis, even if only for a few minutes at a time.
I understand and respect the courage it can take to ask for help, particularly when we feel overwhelmed or vulnerable. I hope to provide a compassionate, non-judgemental, respectful space in which to assist you to find solutions, ease distress and trust in yourself.
